Media One Hotel- a 43 storey stand alone 4 start hotel property in Dubai known for being stylish, vibrant and modern design and for the “hip” hospitality it delivers. It consists of 260 rooms, has 6 F&B outlets, a business centre with 10 meeting rooms and an office tower with 20 storeys.

oSource CV?s from recruitment bank, online job portals as well as recruitment agencies toshortlist relevant candidates and schedule interviews with the department in charge/HR & Training Manager.
oPrepare letter of appointment in line with the Media One salary structure and benefits. Coordinate with the candidates toobtain documentation and apply for their visas through the online TECOM portal.
oConducts Induction and Hotel Orientation of incoming staff.
oResponsible for Oasys (HRIS) encoding the new joiners information, updating the status changes, encoding of leaves, financial requisitions, and end of service, new employee data, employee attendance amendment and overtime entries.
oPrepare attendance, addition/deletion reports tobe passed ontothe accounts department for processing monthly payroll and check the accuracy of salary and service charge distribution.
oPrepares HR Report (Manning, Nationality Breakdown, Visa Reconciliation…etc) and submission of the monthly Turnover and reason for leaving reports.
oPrepares promotion/transfer/salary increase/termination/warning letters. Prepares reviews and edits all memorandum and correspondences for the Human Resources Department.
oConduct exit interviews and prepare final settlements of departing staff.
oCoordinates and follows-up bookings for staff going on vacation, new joiners and resigning/terminated staffs with the Purchasing Department.
oConducts spot checks and room inspection once a month of Employee Accommodation with Housing Supervisor tocheck the rooms that need improvement and repair. Prepares report tothe
HR & Training Manager on the result of the inspection.
oResponsible for the safe keeping and control of passports. Conduct monthly passport audits/passport and visa validity reports and inform staff members / initiate renewal process.
oPrepare all documents and materials that are needed for Star Employee of the month including nomination, voting presentation, printing certificates, preparing the cash reward and organizing the outings.
oPrepare minutes of the Interactive Lunch meeting with GM, HR & Training Manager and the employees where employee grievances are addressed and recorded. Corrective measures are taken before the next meeting.

Payroll: Proficient at using Paytrax software toenter employee attendance details, register new joiners, calculate final settlements, as well as process leave applications, salary advances and sick leaves
Recruitment and Selection: Advertising job vacancies through suitable portals (externally through Catererglobal, for example or internal transfers from within the brand), screening CV’s in line with job specifications, conduct preliminary interviews with candidates, maintain database of potential candidates, preparing and sending offer letters, working together with recruitment agencies and hiring causal staff
Staff Welfare: Regular inspection of staff accommodation, canteen, locker rooms and other employee facilities toensure they are well operated and maintained, responding tostaff complaints about accommodation and meals and implementing actions plans toimprove conditions, liaising with Insurance Company and Transportation Company toprovide the best service
Visa’s and Immigration: Work closely with the PRotoensure the timely application and renewal of visa’s, occupational health cards and other expiry documents, monitoring all staff expenses related toimmigration
Policies and Procedures: Review every six months to ensure all policies and procedures are updated, applicable tocurrent operations and in line with current legislation, ensure that the staff handbook is comprehensive and up-to-date
Disciplinary and Grievance Procedures: Accountable for ensuring any disciplinary action or dismissal issue is reported to the General Manager; advise, coach and support managers to conduct disciplinary, appeal and grievance hearings up toand including dismissals, attend all disciplinary hearings that are potential dismissal situations
Administration: In-charge of overall administration in the department and responsible for any HR Trainee’s, ensuring all employee files are up todate and entered in the HR system, send out monthly reports on vacation history, pending probationary reviews and performance appraisals and employee turnover and satisfaction using results from exit questionnaires, booking staff flight tickets for vacation, new joiners and dismissed employees
Training: Work with the Assistant HR Manager tocoordinate all trainings scheduled, maintain database of training records and statistics and prepare presentation for Employee of the Month Celebration
